This unit covers three main areas of content: biblical foundations for Christian worship; the theology of public worship with particular reference to a Lutheran perspective, namely the Trinitarian and Christological nature of worship, worship as divine service, the role of the means of grace and the liturgy; and also introduces the early history of Christian worship by exploring its origins and subsequent developments.
