Masters Capstone: Supervised project

Unit code: XP9900L

Description

This capstone unit provides a range of options for students to integrate their knowledge and skills gained in the studies of the award through practical application in a supervised project. Such a supervised project could include a placement* or practicum and/or a dialogue between theology and a relevant ministry context. The student will set specific learning outcomes for their project in consultation with their supervisor. The supervision will focus on identifying how the student’s theological studies give insights into their selected contextual application, and how theological reflection informs their praxis. The project may involve a literature review and/or research component.

*The use of ‘placement’ here is not to be confused with supervised theological field education. Placement is an opportunity to experience practical application of gained skills in a specific workplace eg aged care facility, school, community centre or parish.
