Student ID cards
About the ALC student ID/library card
Student ID/library cards are issued to all ALC students [on and off campus], who enrol in and pay [upfront or via FEE-HELP] for at least one scheduled unit in an academic year. The card is valid until 31 March of the following academic year. Your student card identifies you as a student of Australian Lutheran College. It is also your library card and entitles you to borrowing privileges at the Löhe Memorial Library as well as access to online and e-resources (www.alc.edu.au/library).
The application for enrolment form is the base documentation for the student card which includes
- photo
- student name
- student ID
- ALC course
The card is printed on-site and mailed directly to the preferred mailing address.
Some of the benefits students may receive with the card include:
- specific borrowing rights from any ALC reciprocal library
- student discount when purchasing books from some bookstores
- discounted tickets from some cinemas
- discount on travel [this may require an additional specific state transport card issued to full-time students only]
Importance of careful storage of student ID/library cards
Cards are to be stored carefully. Damage caused after issuing will incur a replacement fee.
Replacement student ID/library cards
A request for replacement of a lost or faulty card may be lodged by submitting a completed student ID/library replacement card request form according to the instructions on the form.
Please note that while faulty cards are replaced free of charge, damaged or lost cards incur a replacement fee.
