Death of ALC Women’s Auxiliary President - Melva Hall
8 August 2017
It is with a sense of sadness that the college announces the passing of Mrs Melva Hall - the President of ALC’s Women’s Auxiliary, who died on 6 August after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Melva’s involvement with the Auxiliary began in 2007 and in 2010 she was elected to the position of President, taking over the role from Shirley Teusner. For the past ten years Melva worked with this small band of committed women to apportion material support to ALC students on behalf of the Lutheran Women of Australia (LWA). Even as her cancer advanced, her commitment to the Auxiliary stood firm, with Melva attending her last meeting on 15 May this year.
The college community extends its heartfelt condolences to Melva’s family. Her funeral was held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church Magill on Saturday, 12 August at 2pm.
