A new name and a renewed purpose
3 September 2018
ALC is undergoing a period of transformation, taking the lead from its new Strategic Direction and reorganising itself to better meet the learning and vocational needs of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
To affirm the College’s new identity, ALC’s Board of Directors commissioned a new brand and logo.
We believe that the timing is right and the release of a new logo/brand is reflective of the changes the College is working to implement.
Board Chair, Pastor David Gogoll
While ‘Australian Lutheran College’ will remain as our legal and trading name, ‘ALC’ will be used to identify and promote our College as an innovative and engaging learning community. To represent this renewed focus, our former logo and branding will be replaced with the following crisp branding.
This branding combines old and new design elements to represent our College’s past and future. We value and thank God for our theological and educational heritage, as we seek to learn and apply that heritage in the Church’s new and constantly changing contexts. Very importantly, this branding also foregrounds our core identity as a learning community which dedicates itself to learning for life.
You will see this brand in use from early September, as the old logo is phased out. Plans are also underway for the unveiling of a modern website—providing a responsive interface for current users.
